Re: Carriker best game at 3 technique
If you are going to draft a RT then you will definitely find good one in the top of the second round. Gosder Cherilus, Barry Richardson, Tony Hills and Chris Williams. That negates having a high price T sitting behind Pace and Barron wondering what you are going to do with Pace in '08 or '09.
Kenny Phillips - He is definitely the best safety in a weak class but I just am not sold on him. He just does not have that umph factor like Sean Taylor or Laron Landry. I have seen him in a few games get exposed in pass coverage. I might go with the second best SS in the draft in the second round. Josh Barrett SS Arizona State.
Calais Campbell - He is an enigma. I am not sure he has the football skills. It is looking like he is getting by on his athleticism. The Rams are going to be picking high and with him you are drafting him based on the most dreaded word in a prospect; potential. ugh.
I really see what the Rams need to get on the first day are:
DE, OT, SS.
other shot:
WR, MLB

True, and add to it that Ryan might be a fine 4-3 NT, but that is different than a 3-4 NT.
