casserly likes the talent a lot, and likes a lot the rounds in which we got that talent (good value), loves the givens pick, thinks we should have stayed at 6 and taken claiborne, wouldnt trade claiborne for brockers and pead (he is ignoring the 5th round pick of course that we got by moving back from 45). Says time will tell on the attitude issues, especially on jenkins who is a potential steal. Says nfl is a league of stars and if you have claiborne as a pro bowl guy, you shouldnt make that deal. Maybe fisher didnt have him as a pro bowl guy? I dont think tampa had him as one either or they wouldnt have traded back to take barron just to pick up a #4.

Casserly did say that he might feel differently in two years, which is of course the key point. If brockers is what fisher thinks he is, the deal will look very sweet for us. You cant really judge draft day until down the road.

We live in an instant gratification society. Everyone wants easy black and white answers immediately and the world doesnt work that way. Lets see how the players do, then we can evaluate what we did (same for all other teams as well)

Who cares if he thinks Claiborne will be a pro bowler CB? If Michael Brockers is a pro bowler, its irrelevant. Especially with the value we got in Rounds 2 and 3 at CB (Ja. Jenkins top 10 talent, Trumaine Johnson top 25 talent).

I like that the picks so far fit -- I can see where and how they combine cohesively with the team's existing pieces. It's not just drafting for need, but clear athletic upgrades at several positions. Plus the embarrassing bounty of extra picks from Washington.

The other team I follow, Cleveland, looks lost by comparison, losing value all over the place and churning players at key positions (Weeden for McCoy).

yeah I don't see how anyone can say they'd rather have Claiborne than Brockers, Pead and maybe Zebrie Sanders(best guess).

yes this is a star driven league but the great teams have tons of depth. We have no depth and needed the multiple picks.

Plus a lot of people believe Jenkins to have just as much talent as Claiborne. If we can keep him out of trouble we may get our superstar corner anyways.
