Changes an ordinary fan like me wants for the EJD

As someone who travels to St. Louis once a year to watch the Rams from the "regular folk" seats, talk about "first tier" stadiums, luxury boxes, suites and the like really mean nothing. I've always enjoyed going to the dome so, for me, the changes will not determine whether I return.

That said, here are a few changes I would enjoy:

1. Replace the red seats with blue
Its absurd that the Rams home has red seats, particularly when two of our division foes have red in their uniforms.

2. Close Broadway
Whether its just for game day, or if the stretch by the stadium is eliminated altogether, I'd like to see a continuous pedestrian friendly zone on the East side of the stadium connecting with the park (and then on to the casino and Laclede's landing).

3. More Jumbotrons
Right now, there is a large Jumbotron in one end zone, while the other one has a much smaller screen. Whether its suspended from the ceiling, or added to the other end zone, there every seat in the house should have a Jumbotron view.

4. More Historical Touches
I'd love to see each corner of the stadium (outside) receive a statue commemorating the Rams' history. There are plenty of great possible subjects (Elroy "Crazylegs" Hirsch, the Fearsome Foursome, Jack Youngblood, Eric Dickerson, Warner handing the ball to Faulk, "the Tackle").

5. Toasted Ravs!
How hard would it be to add this St. Louis treat to the concession menu? Seriously, I'd get at least 2-3 orders per game.

Works for me. I hate the red seats, never understood why. Closing Broadway just makes to much sense. Safety first for the fans. Jumbotrons are OK so not a whole lot of appeal for me, but I do understand most fans love em. Something historical outside the stadium is a must for me, if you want to be part of the legacy you must honor it. And the last one seems to be the easiest to put into place & one of the best ideas, Love those toasted ravs

I like the list of changes. My #1 request would be "WINNING"! When's the last time we got together for a bash and our RAMS actually won the game?!!!!!!

Could we do something about that group of guys that wander one side of the field with Rams jerseys on? Sometimes they even enter the game for some reason when it is clear that they should in no way be playing. Let's upgrade those guys and the dome will be a lot better.

I would put this as number one actually, New players would be great, you know ones that actually catch the ball. Then I would not care to watch the jumbo tron or the red seats or even eat food. I WOULD JUST WATCH THE RAMS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One other NECESSARY thing -

when selling group tickets, they need to be sure all of the group sits together AS a GROUP. I don't care if there are other teams fans around us - in fact, this year I will probably have a *gag* vikings fan with me - but a group needs to be a GROUP.

I'd like to see a big, garish decible meter or two with indicators like "rock concert" or "jet engine" that every fan has sight of, giving them an indicator of how loud or appathetic they are. Nothing like in your face, instant feedback to motivate the masses and get them involved. I've seen arenas whip fans into an absolute frenzy with them.

Av, I love all of your ideas, and have brought up most of them myself.

I don't care about the red seats because, frankly, if we can fill the dome with Blue and Gold, who cares about the seats when you can't see em!!!

Here are my #6 and 7 to add to your list.

#6: Better cell bandwidth. Calling and pulling data in the dome is absilutely horrendus. Get some antennas in there and let me publish what a great time I'm having on Facebook!

#7: A lot of smaller replay/TV screens. A couple years ago, at the Packers bash, I remember being able to look up at a small replay TV above our section, which I think was actually for the suite behind us, but who cares. It gave us a nice view on the questionable calls that we couldn't see well from our seats. If they line the dome with those so that the upper decks and as many other fans can see them, I think it'd be a much better, feel like you're at home feel, only with the pulse(hopefully) of the dome around you.

Bonus #8: I know my wife likes to come and work on her photography at the game, so the last suggestion is for her, and that is to give her a sideline pass and one of those monopods for her camera.
