Chris Claiborne
Claiborne was looking forward to playing the team that decided not to resign him last year - the Vikings.
Claiborne has been benched in recent weeks and he didn't make the stat sheet today in any way. No tackles, no assists, no nothing.
Look for Claiborne to be released for the second straight year.
.
And I think we went another game without getting a sack.

Re: Chris Claiborne
I expect quite a few of our defense to be cut next year. We need some major changes. The only way for this to happen is to cut out the cancer, including Marmie, and get some people in there that can tackle.

Re: Chris Claiborne
I knew Claiborne was worthless and stated so when they brought him in. When Detroit and Minn GIVE UP on you...youre a NFL BUM...PERIOD. He had major issues while in Minn...so ya...we need a castoff from what was one of the worst defenses in the league over the last couple seasons. A perfect fit to go with the worthless DC who the Rams brought in after running one of the worst defenses in the league. Who would advocate bringing in such a moron??? Hmmmmmm.
BTW....the Rams were 18th in the NFL in team sacks going into todays action with a total of 27. Four teams dont even have 20...including TWO division leaders(Den & NE)!!

Re: Chris Claiborne
Leave it to Fargo to bring Mike Martz into this. LOL
Keep in mind Claiborne was brought in largely on Joe Vitt's recommendation, and now it's Joe Vitt who has apparently decided that Claiborne, despite having his "most productive day" of the season against Houston, isn't even worth playing as a situational guy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him released after this year either, especially considering his salary jumps up to $2.15 million in 2006.

Re: Chris Claiborne
Minnesota's Defense was BAD and they didn't want to resign Claiborne.. That was a major concern for me from day 1.
The Rams had a very weak field of LB's to pick from in free agency.

Re: Chris Claiborne
he should have got some playing time unless he has done something extremely wrong!

Re: Chris Claiborne
The scheme? The Scheme was to pay him big Bucks and then not play him?
He was benched, he was demoted before the game against the Texans. Vitt even referred to it as a Wake up for Clairborne.
Cellar-Dweller Detroit let him walk and the porous Viking's
informed his agent they were not interested in resigning Claiborne. Now, he's benched on a Ram's D that ranks towards the bottome of the league. Not an impressive resume to say the least.
