Well ... a post similar to this was attempted last year. It died early on. Mostly I think because a moderator commented that it was urguably unfair to single one person out at the expense of others who contribute something to the site. I'm inclined to agree. There is an untold number of people who have made an impression on me and I could not explain why I left a poster out. Paper certificates are a dime a dozen these days. And awarding acclaim seems a touch incestuous. But be that as it may, since a few people have commented that I have caught their attention, I feel obliged to return the compliments. Thus, respecting the spirit in which this was intended I submit for your consideration the following:

Most Valuable Poster = RamDez

It sounds redundant and admittedly is not original but without his contribution this gathering would exist in minds only.

Most Knowledgeable Poster = Rubbersoul

What knowledge does one measure? I think it is fair to confine it here to football knowledge. One might not consider it knowledge to "bookmark" a site and simply post a link to a recent observation. And for the puzzled, to make it even more confusing, he posts seldom here and his links are found on another site. But to chronicle history, even if they are only perceptions, takes an understanding worthy of mention.

Funniest Poster = AvengerRam, Bob L Head, Ramtime, JRam, Radjohns, Ferter, Txramsfan, Yodude, Moklerman, Blacktrout, Utterblitz, KarlBaker, r8rh8rmike, ramstiles, drMartinVonNoStrand, oO0Oo, theNewbie, eLacky, rampete, Coybacon, mobius, FargoRamFan, Zakdar

I cannot single out any one person. Too many to recall have livened a moment with a turn of a phrase or a verbal dodgeball. Thus, I echo a number of names who have elicited a smile at some time. (in alphabetical order?!?)

Most Congenial Poster = RealRam, 28rulz

He never seems to lash out, take remarks personally, or aggravate other posters and to do that without being dead is an accomplishment that shouldn't be missed. 28 never presumes to know her audience and always reacts with balance even if Captain Beefheart is in the crowd

Best Thread Starter = AvengerRam

Even if he feels obligated to initiate a post simply to keep the board appearing fresh and despite how many dead horses in polls I would never want to count, he does touch on a broad range of topics.

Most Controversial Poster = ELacky

Opinionated, big-picture orientated, frequently devisive, and manages to get someone's attention with every post - intentional or not - the comments are fast and furious and sometimes defensible.

Thread of the Year = Yodude's commentary on Warner in response to another of AvengerRam's contests

Whether you agreed with his position or not, more was written in that post than umpteen posts combined and cogently articulated within a well-rehearsed structure.

Most Argumentative Poster = Ferter

Rarely can I recall a post of his that simply says "I agree." Sometimes I suspect he adopts a position simply to juxtapose an opposing view and when he engages the subject you can forget about him relinquishing any ground.

Most Stubborn Poster = Txramsfan

Forget about changing his opinion. Short posts, to the point, repeating oft stated perspectives will wear down even the most defensive poster who's afraid of getting off a horse for fear that people will think less of them. Doesn't matter to Tx. Don't bother confusing yourself in search of that indisputable fact to change his mind - there is no reverse gear in the motor.

Most Welcoming Poster = Utterblitz

Unwilling to give people an excuse to dismiss her opinions she kept her personna a mystery for the longest time, but regardless of whether she cloaked her gender or not, she always finds a way to encourage posters to come back for more.

Most Nature Bound Poster = huntdux

There is no duck safe in nature, not even the Aflack duck, when he has his sights zeroed in at 100 yards. And don't bother wearing any orange accessory, if you discover yourself in his sights have no fear, he'll pull the trigger on you too.

Most Artistic Poster = Jram

The ability to manipulate graphics can never be understated. What little he admits to is more than most could brag about.
