ClanRam Fact or Fiction: Week Eight

I'm posting this here to try and get more looks after only getting three replies last week (but good replies at that!)....

    1) The Seattle Seahawks will not make the playoffs.

    2) The Pittsburgh Steelers will end the Patriots' unbeaten streak.

    3) Ray Lewis will lay out a huge hit on Terrell Owens in this week's Ravens/Eagles game.

    4) Tiki Barber is the best running back in the NFC.

    5) Ben Roethlisberger has surpassed Roy Williams in the race for Rookie of the Year.

    6) The acquisition of Corey Dillon and his performance thus far in the season makes the New England Patriots the most complete team in the league.

    7) The Miami Dolphins will win more than four games this season.

Feel free to add your own.

Re: ClanRam Fact or Fiction: Week Eight

    1. Fact - They'll come close, but they are too streaky and Hasselbeck is not the stellar QB the Seahawks think he is.

    2. Fiction - It's very possible, but I don't think it'll happen. I think it'll be a few more weeks before they falter.

    3. Fact - And I'm praying it happens.

    4. FICTION - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

    5. Fact - I'll give Big Ben the nod, but it's very tight. QB's always get the inside track for that type of award. Although, I believe they have separated it into AFC and NFC awards.

    6. Fact - It obviously hasn't hurt them.

    7. Fiction - 2, maybe 3 wins, but that's it.

Re: ClanRam Fact or Fiction: Week Eight

    1. Fiction - They are still a top team and will finish 10-6 getting a wild-card berth behind the 10-6 Rams in the west.
    2. Fiction - Big Ben is having a great rookie year, but he's not ready for the Pats yet.
    3. Fact - Hopefully, that hit will knock both of them of the game.
    4. Fact - Right now, he is the best in the NFC. And all he had to was hold the ball a little higher.
    5. Fact - Anytime a rookie QB can win, he has to be a frontrunner for ROY.
    6. Fact - And their record would agree.
    7. Fiction - I can't see this team going 4-5 or better this season. Regardless of how the Rams made them appear, Morris and Fiedler aren't that good.

Re: ClanRam Fact or Fiction: Week Eight

    1) The Seattle Seahawks will not make the playoffs.
Fact. I think the Rams will win the division with a 10-6 record and be the only West team to make the playoffs.

    2) The Pittsburgh Steelers will end the Patriots' unbeaten streak.
Fiction. Their pass defense will be exploited.

    3) Ray Lewis will lay out a huge hit on Terrell Owens in this week's Ravens/Eagles game.
Fiction. The Eagles won't run TO over the middle.

    4) Tiki Barber is the best running back in the NFC.
Fiction. He's having a great season, but I'm not ready to put him at the top yet.

    5) Ben Roethlisberger has surpassed Roy Williams in the race for Rookie of the Year.
Fact. And he'll stay there till the end.

    6) The acquisition of Corey Dillon and his performance thus far in the season makes the New England Patriots the most complete team in the league.
Fact. Though I still don't think they will win it all.

    7) The Miami Dolphins will win more than four games this season.
    Fact. They'll win 5.

Re: ClanRam Fact or Fiction: Week Eight

    1) The Seattle Seahawks will not make the playoffs.
Fact: We're the only one's who can stop them from making the playoffs, and who are we (see Miami game)?

    2) The Pittsburgh Steelers will end the Patriots' unbeaten streak.
Fiction: At least I hope not. My lack of confidence in this team aside, the Rams, not the Steelers, will step up at home to SPANK the Pats undefeated streak. It may be the highlight of our year.

    3) Ray Lewis will lay out a huge hit on Terrell Owens in this week's Ravens/Eagles game.
    Faction: who cares.

    4) Tiki Barber is the best running back in the NFC.
Fact: There's no one else to challenge him is all. He'd be 4th or 5th in the AFC. (Steven Jackson will take over #1 in the NFC next year.)

    5) Ben Roethlisberger has surpassed Roy Williams in the race for Rookie of the Year.
    Fact. Yep.

    6) The acquisition of Corey Dillon and his performance thus far in the season makes the New England Patriots the most complete team in the league.
Fact: They already were the most compelete team, and now they are completer.

    7) The Miami Dolphins will win more than four games this season.
Fiction: Unless I missed something, they don't play the rams 4 more times this year.

Re: ClanRam Fact or Fiction: Week Eight

    1) The Seattle Seahawks will not make the playoffs.

FACT - The Rams will take the division and the Seahawks record won't be good enough to clinch the Wild Card

    2) The Pittsburgh Steelers will end the Patriots' unbeaten streak.

FACT - The Steelers are rolling right now and coming off a bye, the Patriots finally meet their match.

    3) Ray Lewis will lay out a huge hit on Terrell Owens in this week's Ravens/Eagles game.

FICTION - The Eagles won't send T.O. over the middle. Ed Reed on the other hand...

    4) Tiki Barber is the best running back in the NFC.

FICTION - Absolutely not. I'd rather have Faulk, Alexander, Green, Portis, T.Jones etc.

    5) Ben Roethlisberger has surpassed Roy Williams in the race for Rookie of the Year.

FACT - QB gets the edge here. He'll earn even more hype after knocking of the Patriots next week.

    6) The acquisition of Corey Dillon and his performance thus far in the season makes the New England Patriots the most complete team in the league.

FACT - They are stacked, but not unbeatable.

    7) The Miami Dolphins will win more than four games this season.

FACT - The way this season's going they could even see the playoffs. Then again, maybe not.

May as well throw my answers in...

    1) The Seattle Seahawks will not make the playoffs.

FICTION. I think they'll be good enough for a wild card spot at the worst.

    2) The Pittsburgh Steelers will end the Patriots' unbeaten streak.

FACT. Pittsburgh's rolling, so who else? It needs to come to an end so we can all stop hearing about it.

    3) Ray Lewis will lay out a huge hit on Terrell Owens in this week's Ravens/Eagles game.

FICTION. I don't think TO will allow himself to be put in a position to be made to look bad against Baltimore.

    4) Tiki Barber is the best running back in the NFC.

FICTION. Most productive this season, probably. Best, not quite.

    5) Ben Roethlisberger has surpassed Roy Williams in the race for Rookie of the Year.

FICTION. I think Ben's bye week put him behind Roy, but that could all change against the Pats.

    6) The acquisition of Corey Dillon and his performance thus far in the season makes the New England Patriots the most complete team in the league.

FACT. Good ground game, good passing game, good defense. Looks to be all there.

    7) The Miami Dolphins will win more than four games this season.

FICTION. I see them winning three or four max.

    4) Fact... yep Barber is good but not the best, but then again behind their O...

    5) Fact... If Ben keeps winning yes he's up for the award!!!

Re: ClanRam Fact or Fiction: Week Eight

    1) Fiction: 2 wild card spots up for grabs and if the Rams continue to play like they did on Sunday, a chance for a division title.

    2) Fiction

    3) Fact: And I certainly hope so.

    4) Fiction

    5) Fact: and its a close race.

    6) Fiction: Their coach makes them the most complete team in the league. But Dillion hasn't hurt them.

    7) Fiction: They will win only four games
