ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
Always a little tougher in a loss.
Gibson stepped up a little and got over 60 yards.
Dahl had 1 int, 1 pd and 9 tackles.
Fletcher had 1 int, 1 pd and 9 tackles.
But I'm going to give the ball to SJax...
He had 96 yards rushing and 38 receiving.
I know he had the fumble but he kept playing hard all game and I think his performance was what helped get Gibson and Robinson a little more open.

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
The members can certainly award a gameball, but it will only be for the sake of giving one out.
IMO, none of the Rams players Deserves a gameball.
I'll pass.

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
We could always bury it like the Jets did but...
I don't think the final score on this game reflected the effort. We were definitly outmatched by an elite team and last year's Super Bowl winner but I never saw anyone give up.
The guys worked hard enough today I think someone deserves a game ball but I respect your decision not to vote.

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
I respect your opinion but disagree. If you go by stats only then I could see your point but a Game Ball can be about so much more. Heck if he had had a little bit better of a game I could see giving Bradford the game ball for running down Harper with the game already lost.
Effort is key for me. We were one player away from no one deserving a game ball in Detroit because it looked like no effort by anyone except Jackson. This game I saw heart even though it was over matched by talent.
Anyway that's enough from me. That is the great thing about the Game Ball... everyone get's a vote and the majority will rule.

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
You are right, that showed great effort and desire to win. But if he doesnt throw two picks in the end zone and one of them is not returned for a 96 yard td, we wouldve had a chance to win this game.
Its just so freaking hard to watch these close games slip away. I know we are not elite team yet, but I absolutely hate losing. Especially when we have been so close in so many games. All I hear from everyone is 6-7 and a sub .500 team hosting a playoff game. It pisses me off, cause they dont see that we easily couldve ended the season 9-7 or something of that sort which shows how hard our team has played.

I'm giving it to Donnie Jones. Great punts helped us pin the Saints back a lot and flip the field, and exceptional holds as always.

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
I'd give it to Jackson and its a shame the scored forced the ball in Bradford hands. The Saints D could not stop him in either the run or pass and I wonder what kind of a day he would have had if he had 25+ carries

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
We had to answer the Saints on that first possession. Did you guys see the TOP stats? Our D's chances were slim enough to begin with, and this game snowballed. Even so, that 96YD INT was a 14 point swing, and we still would've been in it. I give it to our guys for not throwing in the towel, but turnovers and wrapping up need to be emphasized this week!

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
I think Dahl had a good game, he seemed to be in good coverage when Brees threw it deep. I've got to go with Donnie Jones though - even if he gets wrongfully ignored by pro bowl voters AGAIN at least he'll get some love on these boards.

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
Donnie Jones. That punt where he rolled it along the one yard line was just ridiculous

Re: ClanRam Game Ball vs Saints
I'll go with Fletcher. With Bartell out, he did a decent job as the "No. 1 CB."
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!
