Claude Terrell at RT?
Rookie Claude Terrell has been taking some reps at right guard. Previously, he had spent most of his time on the left side.
...thoughts?

I am confused the title has RT and then you talk about starting out on the left side and recently taking snaps at RG.
If the question is should he see time at RT? No not at this point he don’t have much experience there and quickness might be an issue.
If the question is should he see time at RG? Yes there or LG either one especially for the run.Last edited by STLRAMSFAN; -09-17-2005 at 12:52 AM.

Re: Claude Terrell at RT?
Actually, that's my bad...
I thought the article said he was seeing some snaps at right tackle. I thought maybe we had another option there.

I guess this legitimizes the reports of Timmerman having problems. Saipaia can't exactly work there since he's manning the right tackle spot, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a line-up of Pace, Terrell, McCollum, Saipaia, and Barron later this year if guys like Timmerman and Nutten can't hold up.

agree, this is probably due to timmermans injury issues.

Re: Claude Terrell at RT?
Claude Terrell started preseason and, from reports I read, performed admirably for a rookie. I wouldn't mind him stepping in for Timmerman, even if he is able to play, because he's struggling at even being able to pull, and that's pretty vital in the Rams' offensive system.

Re: Claude Terrell at RT?
Yeah, from what I heard his main problem was playing a whole NFL game. He just wasn't in the shape for it yet.

McCollum, Nutten, and Timmerman can't get any movement in the running game. No push at all up front. That's a concern.
Is Terrell ready? He'll hopefully turn out to be a good player for us, but Martz moved him out of the starting lineup pretty quickly in pre-season. I guess he's thinking too much and learning the blocking schemes?
