Clayton: Bill Callahan also in consideration for OC job

In addition to Cam Cameron, ESPN's John Clayton reports former Nebraska coach Bill Callahan is among the Rams' offensive coordinator candidates.

Clayton says Callahan could interview for two to three jobs this week, another being the offensive coordinator position in Tampa Bay. Callahan was a very successful coordinator with the Raiders between 2000 and 2002.
From Rotoworld and confirmed on Clayton's ESPN Insider Blog.

He's a West Coast offense kind of guy, to my knowledge. Rich Gannon put up rather impressive numbers when in Oakland in Callahan's offense.

Didn't he win NFL MVP and have a huge season under Callahan if I'm not mistaken?

Yes, in 2002, when Callahan was head coach and the Raiders went to the Super Bowl.

Bill Callahan would actually be an interesting prospect. Better yet he might be interested in a short term gig like St. Louis.

How about the Head Coach from Texas Tech. The guy is like Martz. He throws it all over the place and is a real gunslinger. For those that miss Martz, and I'm not one of them, he would bring the same philosophy.

callahan is a good coordinator not head coach in football... there are plenty of people like that in the NFL today... look at charlie weis, great coordinator bad coach, same with callahan, same with cam cameron.... the list goes on and on
