Maybe they're waiting for Cameron to make a decision or move the ball forward in these talks?

Re: Clayton: Rams making big push for Cameron

I'm willing to overlook his time in Miami. Head coaching is much different than coordinating. It's extremely tough to do both. He's a good OC and I would welcome him to the Rams.

He shouldn't get paid Garrett money. Jerry Jones wants Garrett as his head coach but didn't wanna pull the trigger just yet. He's getting paid the same as Wade Phillips. I think if Phillips doesn't make the Superbowl, he's gone next year -- just give Jerry a reason to can him and promote his man Garrett.

So we should pay Cameron a good salary for an OC, but don't pay him head coaching money. He was one of the few coaches worse than Linehan this year so there's no reason to think that he'll be the guy if Linehan gets the axe after this year.

Definitely make the move if it's possible though.

Re: Clayton: Rams making big push for Cameron

Its seems like the Rams are trying to do all they can to get Cameron, it seems like this one is on Cameron. Apparently according to the reports Cameron is taking his time because he was just fired. Linehan wants him and is pushing for him. Cameron just needs to make a decision.

The big name OC and what Cameron brings will help this offense be so much better than what it was. Imagine a perfectly healthy offense witht he names on our roster. We can only hope for 08.

In the magic of John Lennon: "...You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one; I hope someday you'll join us, and the Rams win another one."

Not a problem -- and BTW, Welcome to the Clan, Drummer!

Maybe Cameron is wondering if he will actually get to call the plays or not. Linehan keeps jumping in there and taking over. I would not feel very secure working under Linehan as an OC.

He's probably intiminated replacing an offensive genius like Linehan in St. Louis...

It's the eternal question all coordinators face. Were they great because of their talent or scheme, or both? Miami obviously was missing a QB and the weapons to make any offense successfull. I will ignore that last year under Cameron in Miami.

Cameron will have a lot of Tight Ends to work with. Now they just have to rebuild that offensive line here in saint lou!

Geez...how hard of a decision is it. He left the worst team in the league and has an awesome chance to coach the 2nd worst team in the league.

why didn't miami take Brady Quinn? Was this Cameron's call?

Can Cameron run an offense that does not have Ladanian Tomlinson?

    I hope so.

Say what you want about what Cameron did in Miami, but I wouldn't worry about him not knowing what to do with Jackson. Ronnie Brown was one of the hottest running backs in the league before he got hurt.

Maybe it was. Maybe it wasn't. I don't honestly know. But I don't think it would be his call on the Rams. The offensive coordinator has imput, but he wouldn't make any draft calls.

That being said, it's not like the people making the draft calls for the Rams are doing the best of all jobs.
