    Cleveland after Bradford? Surely not.....but.

Fisher open to trading up, fielded calls about Bradford
    • By Marc Sessler NFL.com
"..Browns president Mike Holmgren recently spoke about being blocked from the deal for the Rams' second pick, citing Fisher's close relationship with Mike Shanahan and the Redskins, who sealed the trade by handing over this year's No. 6 and first-round picks in 2013 and 2014. Fisher swatted away Holmgren's story: "I didn't pay much attention to his comments. They were very fruitful discussions. They are a potential trade partner with us."

Fisher then dropped this gem: Multiple teams have inquired about trading for Bradford, who enters his third season as the Rams' starter. Fisher wouldn't say if Cleveland was involved in those talks, but there is a connection there with Browns coach Pat Shurmur, who served as Bradford's offensive coordinator during the quarterback's rookie season in 2010.
They couldn't make it work the first time around, but for the Rams and Browns, there might be a second chapter at play. Something to monitor..."

I thought Bam Spradford was what pulled Fisher in ?!?!

Fisher has already said that Cleveland asked, but the Rams had no interest.

How I imagine things went down:

Holmgren: So...any chance you'd rather send us Bradford?

    Snead: Hah...no.

Perhaps it's just me but the way conducted the trade, good or bad, the Rams FO doesn't seem to be in the business of BS's around. If they emphatically say they're not trading Bradford I'm inclined to believe them.

Although I would hate to see Bradford traded he does have a hefty contract.

Bradford is the truth guys. That rookie season showed he has the "it" factor at QB. I truly believe he will be top 5 qbs in league for years to come. Don't give up now. QBs like that deserve a contract like that, hopefully it gets restructured.

But I don't think Holmgreen understand sarcasm.
Holmgreen: "Ok forget the second pick, how about Bradford. Will you trade him??"
Snead: "Yeahhhhhh sureeeee, make an offer"

That's what a lot of articles conveniently forget to include: the fact that multiple teams inquired about Bradford and they were all told, quickly, that the answer was no.

What's also funny is that Fisher literally said they'd more than likely be trading down as opposed to up.

Smoke screen. I'll believe that we traded up to the Browns' #4 spot when I see it. But I don't think we will be.

I inquired about replacing Roger Goodell as NFL Commissioner.

Still waiting for a return call.

IS THE NFL LOOKING TO REPLACE ROGER GOODELL?

Word out of the offices of the NFL, is that they have received offers to replace the Commissioner. More on this story as it develops...

We trade down to get out of the running for Luck and Griffin, only to trade our franchise QB away.

    MAKES PERFECT SENSE.

    Drop the twinkies Holmgren.

Ahh, the NFL pre-draft comedy skits. Occasionally entertaining.

High praise indeed for Bradford. I only wish I could agree with you RamOG. The guy needs to WOW us before its right to mention the IT word in the same sentence. Two years in, and Im still waiting for his breakout game. Bradford must show a better ability to finish in games this season, and hopefully
raise the level of the players around him. Like he did to some extent his rookie season in the WCO offense. Which I believe is the right kind of system, to best help Bradford reach his goals.
Its going to be interesting to say the least.

Goodell is the commissioner? What happened to that Tagliabue fella .... ?
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.
