Clock Management
Does everyone remember when the clock was running down to the two minute warning and the Rams called a time out? The clock was stopped at like 2:05. What was the reason for that? Let the clock run down and call a run on the next play and the Lions don't score a TD. The play-by-play guys hardly mentioned it, so I am left wondering what happened.
What a change! Its been awhile since I have cared about a second half in a Rams game.
Brandon Gibson played very well and showed up his critics, lets hope he continues to improve.

Re: Clock Management
Something called the playclock is not allowed to reach 0. Then you will get a 5-yard penalty...

Re: Clock Management
The play clock was a head of the game clock - they had to run a play before the two minute warning. If they run then the clock stops at 2 minutes and same result.

Re: Clock Management
Yep, play clock was down to 0 at 2:04 left. So I'm guessing Fisher wanted as much time off as possible and then call a T.O. The lions did the same thing at one point in the game.

Re: Clock Management
Yes, I was thinking that was the cause, but I wasn't sure. I figured the only reason you call a TO in that situation would be the playclock. I remembered the clock started running at 2:43 or 2:45, but I couldn't remember what the playclock resets to. 40 seconds I guess!

Edit: delete. Just realized someone post about the clock operator error.
