Coach Fisher made Rams tough again
“Coach Fisher brought a new swagger to our locker room,” wide receiver Danny Amendola said this week. “Guys play with a little more of a chip on our shoulder because of him, and it’s exciting to watch and exciting to be a part of.”
“He has guys ready to run through walls here now, and that’s something I haven’t seen in a long time,” said Steven Jackson, the Rams’ all-time leading rusher and pretty much their only star during eight consecutive non-winning seasons. “It feels like a new place.”
“You just say Jeff Fisher’s name and people instantly think, ‘great coach, tough coach, winning coach,’ ’’ former Jets quarterback Kellen Clemens, now the backup to Rams starter Sam Bradford, said this week.
“It’s not me, it’s these players and these coaches,” Fisher said recently. “I’m just happy that I can feel like I can look this team in the eye and say we’ve taken a step forward.”
Thanks coach! Hell of a game today!

Re: Coach Fisher made Rams tough again
His ability to make adjustments, particularly in the 2nd half of games, has been the difference this season and it has translated into wins, earnt respect, toughness, and an overall improved football team.

Re: Coach Fisher made Rams tough again
This is what his players have been saying all year... I have read quotes like these and so have you guys, it's nice to see it payoff!
I have not seen a Rams team hold their own physically like I have seen this year, especially in the West.

Re: Coach Fisher made Rams tough again
I'm sorry to throw a cold, wet blanket on today's big win over the Whiners, but the Rams play @Buffalo next week.
The Rams have proven they're deadly against division rivals this year (4-0-1), but are 1-11 against AFC East teams dating back to Super Bowl 36 (when they were upset by the Patriots.)
I'm excited to see if the Rams can carry what they did today over to next week and start to reverse this very ugly statistic.

Re: Coach Fisher made Rams tough again
Agree 100%. This makes a huge difference. We really were dead in the water- didn't do much offensively all game and had every reason to mail in our performance for the last part of the 4th quarter, then Bingo- big play on defense, converted 2-pt. conversion, then a game tying 53 yarder after we allow SF to retake the lead. Fisher has made adjustments and has instilled belief in these guys.

Great coaching,i havent seen this kind of coaching from the Rams since the early years or Mad Mike.If we can come close to playoffs i believe Fisher deserves coach of the year.

Hmmm......seems we have been down this road already this season and then the wheels fell off. I guess we will see where it leads this time.
I know one thing. It wasn't an adjustment by Fisher that got JJ the Scoop-6 or Sam to run for yards or Legatron to split the uprights.

Re: Coach Fisher made Rams tough again
I have to say what I love about Fish & this coaching staff, is they have made it a point to physically out play our division rivals. Focused on the division games and let every team in the division know that the Rams will no longer be push overs. These games will be physical, tough, grind it out, smack you in the mouth football.
I love it, it feels like old times. Go Rams.

Re: Coach Fisher made Rams tough again
The 2012 Rams will play 16 games this year, just like the 2011 Rams.
The 2012 Rams will play 960 minutes this year. I don't think the 2011 Rams truly played that many.
That is the Jeff Fisher difference, as I see it.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Or even 990 barring anymore OTs.The 2012 Rams will play 960 minutes this year."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
