On the defensive line it looks like the roster spot battle is for the back up DT spot. In a worse case scenario I would like to see the Rams keep Hollis. We need a run stuffing DT to clog up the middle more then another pass rusher. BUT, Gibson has looked really good and would be good insurance if Carriker or Ryan goes down etc. What's the odds of us keeping nine guys at this spot anyone?

I would have thought the bubble list at LB and CB would be longer.None of those back-up LBs has really "popped' in the limited action/viewing that I've seen,especially on STs. Devaney may shop for a specialist like Gary Stills last year,imo. I really don't want to see J. Butler on STs. Given the drop-off at safety behind him, I don't think it's a good risk.

And what have King or Fletcher done on the field to deserve safe & sound status? We've all read the blurbs about their potential and I like the size match-up with our NFCW rivals but I could also see BD scooping up a more experienced CB off waivers.Neither Wade nor Hill exactly inspires confidence in me as our starting 2nd CB.

I agree. If Fells, who has had a very solid preseason is on the bubble, who's he being challenged by? Butler hasn't done much of anything and Klop has been for the most part forgotten, getting very little PT the last couple of games. It's pretty clear, Klop's time with the Rams is over. Too bad because he had a lot of potential, but never made the most of his opportunities.

I want Ah You to make it. I think he's a decent player.


I think Grant is going to take over for Draft soon. Grant is a young, tough player who is getting better and better, and Draft is not.

I'm one of those that Moose mentioned, I bet that we keep 4 DE's and 4 DT's. If we keep 9 on the line, I would expect current starter Gary Gibson to make it. Darrell Scott might also be relegated to the practice squad as well if we think he'll clear waivers and no one will try to pick him up.
