Culpepper
"One rumor which has made some rounds in recent days has the Minnesota Vikings trading quarterback Daunte Culpepper to the St. Louis Rams for a first-round draft selection, with the Rams then dealing quarterback Marc Bulger to the Miami Dolphins for an undisclosed draft selection."
If I have to watch this idiot do his touchdown celebration in St. Louis I will throwup. I hope this is just a stupid rumor. After the season he just had, the injury, and the criminal charges, to say he is a better option than Bulger is just stupid.

Re: Culpepper
I have heard the rumor about Culpepper ever since Linehan got the HC position, but I hadn't heard anything about the Bulger trade rumor. I first heard it on FOX radio, but it was speculation then, and I feel pretty much like that's what it is now. I'm kinda like Dez, now, I just can't really see that happening.

Re: Culpepper
Doesn’t Culpeper want way too much cash? If we had that much Cap room we would be better served adding some big time FA on the defense. Culpeper is hurt also; I can’t see us making that trade. Culpepers health issues and last years performance without Moss, he dropped off big time. I think Marc is the better QB period won’t happen.
Art Shell will also come here to be HC

Re: Culpepper
This reaks of wild speculation masking as a Bernie-esque brand of sports journalism. It goes a little something like this.......
1. reporter sees former Vikes OC named Rams HC
2. reporter spreads rumor that aforementioned HC seeks Vikes QB
And that's just about the bulk of it."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Culpepper
What is the source of this "rumor"? (as if it matters)
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Culpepper
Here's a rumor I heard, ( just making this up). Culpepper going to the Lions, and working under Martz to run his offense there. Empty backfields need a big QB like Culpepper. Harrington is a career backup anyway and can fight it out with Garcia for that second spot. Vikings then take the two number ones and trade up to get Vince Young of Texas, or make a trade with San Diego for Rivers.
Bulger is going to flourish in Linehans system and be a pro bowl QB in 2006.

Re: Culpepper
Ya I dont' want that to happen. Bulger is a great QB IMO A top 5 at that. He is underrated and can get it done. Although he throws picks he will stay in the pocket and get hit while delivering a hit to Holt in the Endzone. Daunte runs around like a chicken with his head cut off.

Re: Culpepper
Culpepper is a fumbler. He fumbles a lot. If he lived behind what Bulger has worked behind, he'd have huge turnover (INT + FUMBLES) numbers.
Bulger is clearly the better QB. I think that is a bad rumor.

Re: Culpepper
I seriously hope the Rams don't trade for Culpepper. I mean, Linehan should know that he can win games with Bulger. No need for another QB.

Re: Culpepper
Seriously fellas, giving this rumor a second thought is two thoughts too many.
Culpepper has as much chance of being a 2006 Ram as I do."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
