Culpepper to St. Louis ...??
http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm
"Another possibility is St. Louis, where Culpepper would be reunited with former Vikings offensive coordinator Scott Linehan. The last time Linehan and Culpepper worked together, Daunte had an MVP-caliber season. If the Rams could get him at a fair price, Culpepper would provide a capable backup for starter Marc Bulger, along with a little leverage in the talks aimed at extending Bulger's deal, which expires after the 2007 season."
If Culpepper doesn't want to back up Green, why would he want to back up Marc? Because of Linehan? Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it. Leveraging Bulger (lowballing him) doesn't seem like a good idea, if Marc gets to test the waters of free agency, we could end up paying a king's ransom or losing him altogether ...

Re: Culpepper to St. Louis ...??
I'd say there's about a snowball's chance in Miami of Culpepper going to the Rams. Like you said, he's going to be looking for a starting gig (and probably a starter's pay). Just pay Bulger the money. He's our quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Bah! It'll never happen. Typical PFT nonsense.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Culpepper to St. Louis ...??
How would Culpepper be any sort of leverage in getting a deal done with Bulger? I definetly wouldn't want him thinking we could just drop him at any time and move along with Culpepper. I dont see this happening, we already have a more then capable backup in Frerrote. Also I'm kind of sick of Linehan bringing his old cronies in anyway

I think we would bring back Roman Gabriel before we bring in Culpepper, what would be the purpose of having him sit the bench.

Re: Culpepper to St. Louis ...??
The reporter was confused when he heard Culpepper say he was ready to go play in St. Louis, and he'd enjoy the ride.
Of course, Culpepper was talking about a visit to Six Flags, and a ride on the Screaming Eagle. not playing football.Super Bowl Champions 2013!

Re: Culpepper to St. Louis ...??
I would rather have Robert 'Bobby' Boucher Jr. (A.K.A. the Water Boy) at least while he sat on the bench the entire season he could keep everyone well hydrated with high grade h2o.
In all seriousness IMO Ferrotte is one of the best backups in the league because he knows and accepts his role, knows the system, knows the players, and he seems to me like he can come in cold and focus on the job at hand. He also will not rock the boat trying to get ahead of Bulger.

Ha rock the boat! echoing everyone else this is pure garbage it's a stupid rumor this year, like it was last year. Zygie just sign Bulger and let's get ready for a roller coaster ride of our own starting in Sept. Anyone heard about big Adams???

Let DC go back up Tom Brady. He will then be reunited with Randy Moss!

Re: Culpepper to St. Louis ...??
I know he is but we already have him so I'm not going to complain. I'm not saying the poeple that he's bought in that he previously knew are bad players or that they've been bad decisions, but if he brings in too many more vikings/dolphins players it's going to worry me a little.
