Current cap status please

Does anyone know exactly how much cap money we have right now, after the rookies are signed. I am looking for a net number so we can discuss what we might want to do with the cash, ie is now a good time to see if we can sign curtis or pisa long term? Anyone else we might want to try to extend and/or lock up.

I appreciate that we have reviewed this topic before, but given that we are in the depths of the off season, this seems like as good a way as any for us to get our arms around both the present and future prospects for the squad.

Well. No rookies have signed for us so its hard to say. But I heard we are hanging around 7 million, 5 mil of that will go to the Rookies which means 2 million left.

That number sounds a little low.....we should be closer to 5 mil than 2.

Well the rookie pool is approximately $4.9 million, so if someone can find out how much cap room we have right now, just subtract the rookie pool (since it will likely be completely used and I don't think anyone has signed) and that should give us an idea. The last cap update I can find is from March.

As of March 10, we were 22.1 million under and my phone is ringing so I can't do the math up to date.

If the number is from March 10th, it's likely not very accurate. That figure was before we resigned Bruce and got many of our big free agents. That's why I didn't use it.

Well if we have the cash I say sign tye law.Last i heard he is not signed . Even if it is the year conract that he wants who better to train the young secondary and lead them into battle.

P.S. I heard its gonna take around 11 million to sign him so now Im a little weary that is alot of cash. Damn cap making things more fair.

I don't think we are going to find a website with the actual updated number but I could be wrong. I was wrong in hmmmm.....lets see, a minute ago?

I believe the last time I saw it, it was 10 mil.
