Re: Current Salary Cap .........
my guesstimation puts chavous at approx. 2.5 to 3.5 against the cap in 2006...
so shave that off the 16 mil. and the rams are left with
approx. 13 mil...

Re: Current Salary Cap .........
The Rams had about $17 million in cap space going into free agency. Chavous' 2006 cap charge should be around $3.3 million, which means we're looking at around $13.5 million in cap space left.

Re: Current Salary Cap .........
I would guess that we should save about $4-5 million to sign rookie players. As for the other stuff, I'm not sure. I know there is something about how only the top xx salaries count against the cap, but I forget the exact number.

Re: Current Salary Cap .........
Thank you for your opinion. That means if we have 13.5 mil and we need to save back close to 5 mil we still have about 8.5 mil left for free agency. Hopefully that is enough for Witherspoon, Bart and then what ever fill in the gap players we need.
