Re: Curtis talks??
I doubt we would get anywhere. Curtis will get big money from a team just bcause he is the best WR available

Re: Curtis talks??
Will we use the franchise tag? I seriously doubt that Curtis is worth $7.6 million to the Rams, but depending on how free agency shapes up, you never know. Teams are definitely placing huge value on their DE since they are so hard to come by. Maybe the draft will be kind to us at the position.

Re: Curtis talks??
There is no way we pay $7.6 m for our 3rd WR IMO.We have to many holes to fill and money could be better spent elsewhere..:l

Re: Curtis talks??
Yeah, Curtis is going to WANT to stay in St.Louis if we want to keep him. The Lions are really going to offer him top dollar, so it'll be his call.

If all the top FA on D get signed or Tagged, do you not look at spending the money on Curtis? There is no way we pay $7.6 m for our 3rd WR IMO.We have to many holes to fill and money could be better spent elsewhere

Re: Curtis talks??
Some of the big name FA's have gone but that doesn't mean there aren't other players around who can upgrade the defense.IMO if the Rams want to retain Curtis then they would be better off trying to sign him to a long-term contract rather than Tagging him. But,likely Detroit or someone will through silly money at him which would be hard to match..:l

Re: Curtis talks??
That's a good question. I think that the shallow (and draining) free agent pool might cause the Rams to offer a bit more to Curtis, but I still don't think they can afford to offer him top $.
Curtis, in my opinion, is not a #1 WR, but some team may very well offer him #1 WR money.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Curtis talks??
I hope he stays. He will be an amazing starter once Bruce is gone... which is sooner rather then later.

Re: Curtis talks??
I guess that answers one ?No tag this year
President of football operations Jay Zygmunt said Tuesday that the Rams will not use their franchise tag this season — marking the second straight offseason that has happened.
"We kind of did what we had to get done," Zygmunt said.
