    Danario Alexander interview

Anyone else hear the interview yesterday on espn radio? DA says he's ready to go full blast...jumping off his left leg, which he avoided last year. But what really excited me was his comment that when Sam directed the wide receivers in Houston, he knew McDaniel's playbook "like the back of his hand." Oh baby.....

Sam Bradford doesn't learn the playbook, the playbook learns Sam Bradford.

Great interview. This kid says all the right things and is a gamer. I agree with you MACD that it's exciting to hear that Bradford already has the McDaniels playbook wired and was setting up and directing the WR's in an organized practice.

I'm going to post the link so everyone can listen. Here it is:

LOVE hearing that about Sam! If we can keep Danario, Donnie, and Clayton healthy... combined with Amendola and two potential good WRs in the draft... no reason why this passing offense shouldn't open up big time this year... assuming there is football of course!

With Danario it all comes down to that knee. I actually sort of like his odds of returning to full strength more than Donnie Avery's chances.

This is just another reason to love Sam Bradford over the alternatives. Sam's leadership and work ethic are why he will be a Hall of Fame QB if he can stay healthy. This is why the interview process is so important in evaluating talent and that's completely missed when people do their draft rankings (usually). Fostering those attributes throughout the roster via the draft and free agency is how Devaney and Spags are building a franchise.

I suspect McDaniel's offense will be much more comfortable for Sam than last year's dink and dunk style. Contrary to popular opinion, he did NOT run the spread at OU, but a pro-style attack in which he was under center much more than most people realize. And he did a lot of downfield throwing in college. 2011 is the year we unleash the beast in my humble opinion.

I hope so. I'm tired of Dink and his cousin Dunk.

It does really feel like we drafted three WR's this year.

D.Alexander, Pettis, and Salas. That is our future. Avery is a wildcard. Gilyard and Danny are battling for Sp. Team duties. Danny will probably be off the Rams roster come 2013.

Thanks MACD for the headsup and raiderhater for the podcast. We can't get enough of this kind of stuff this time of year.

    More, more.

    BLASPHEMY!!!
Danny Boy and Sammy are going to be like Batman and Robin just like Tom Brady is with Wes Welker.

    Re: Danario Alexander interview

DX is good people AND a good receiver. I'm excited to see the Rams WR corps this year -- including Amendola, for sure; Pettis, Salas. Hopefully Clayton gets to re-sign with us.

Looking forward to DX developing steadily, being healthy ... and having a fine / productive career w/the Rams.

A healthy DX could be our Julio Jones.
