St. Louis Rams receiver Danny Amendola, who suffered a serious shoulder injury in an Oct. 4 game against the Cardinals, returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since the injury, coach Jeff Fisher told reporters on a conference call.

Amendola suffered a sternoclavicular joint separation (where the collar bone meets the sternum) against Arizona on a diving attempt at a catch in the second quarter of St. Louis' Week 5 win against the Cardinals.

Amendola was limited, according to Fisher, as the Rams practiced in London in advance of Sunday's game against the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium.

Initial reports on Amendola estimated a six-week recovery.

"We talked about it last week, and he told me that he was going to be out there today doing some stuff, and I was a little surprised," quarterback Sam Bradford said Wednesday morning on a conference call.

"Just from the initial reports, I thought it was going to be quite a bit longer for him to get back on the field. But any time you get him back out there, I think it brought a whole spark to the whole group today, and just lifted everyone's spirits seeing him back out there.

"Even though he didn't do a whole lot, just having him on the field really energized our group."

The 26-year-old Amendola has 32 receptions for 395 yards and two touchdowns this season.
Amendola missed virtually all of last season after dislocating his left elbow in the opener.

That's hilarious- and probably accurate.

Great news about Danny- I trust the coaches will exercise caution with him- he's the type of guy who willl reinjure himself if he's not careful because he's such a fierce competitor.

Am I the only one who thinks Danny going down actually helped our team? Bradford has built a connection with Givens and Gibson and now that DA is back Bradford might start to make that step where he puts up the best numbers of his career. Im excited
