When is the last time anyone saw a Ram (or anyone else for that matter) make a better catch than the diving one handed grab by Almondela yesterday. I love this guy. Reminds me of a young ricky proehl, albeit with a little less speed.

Ridiculous. Absolutely, unequivocally, the best catch I've seen. I still can't believe I saw that.

Ricky Proehl's pre-draft 40 time was listed as 4.5 compared to Danny's time of 4.38 - I don't think the kid is lacking in speed at all.

I was at the Dome, and the crowd seemed almost in shock that he caught it. There wasn't even a big ovation, everyone was simply stunned. Danny is THE MAN.

a little less speed than proehl?? impossible, amendola ran sub 4.4 at the combine. ridiculous catch though.

I wasnt commenting on 40 yard time speed. I am commenting on my observations on football speed on the field. I also never said that danny lacked speed. I am not talking about proehl on the rams in the late 1990's early 2000's either. I am talking abour proehl in 1991 or so. Simply a matter of opinion.
At any rate, that comment was the tail on the dog. Our front office deserves a lot of credit for picking him up for nothing, he is obviously a piece to the puzzle.

absolutely. they've done a great job in all phases, but getting amendola is just an added bonus. he was so problematic for the sooners back at texas tech and he creates those same problems in the slot in the league. can't wait to see him and sam hook up in the endzone Originally Posted by general counsel
