Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
Daryl Richardson. Getting a second running back that can spell is something we really needed for years. And SJ is gonna prove important over de coming weeks and the key to making the wildcard bid. SJ is fresh at this point of the season and stays fresh during games. Plus Richardson gives us the change of pace to SJ.
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
I went with Givens. All of them have been impactful but I think CG has been improving most consistently every week. Not just the bomb receptions but there was blocking & YAC from the start, then some solid kickoff work, & a growing repertoire of routes. Funny how the supposed one-trick pony is possibly the most rounded of the bunch.
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
I'm amazed that this is actually a tough decision as all the guys listed have definitely contributed and it's been a VERY long time for a Rams' draft class that has had this kind of impact.
I went with Jenkins but sure don't mind others going with Legatron or Givens or D-rich. They've all contributed this year and maybe you could hold JJ/Given's violation of team rules against them and go with GZ, but he's not in the Matt Bryant class yet of sure-thing kickers. Nice discussion and choices to have....which high-performing rookie is the best instead of "what a lousy draft class of a bunch of scrubs."
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
Jenkins. Corner is one of the hardest positions to come in immediately and make an impact, especially in the current climate of the NFL. Lining up opposite of a proven vet can only mean that the ball's coming your way early and often.
That considered, he's made the greatest impact of any rookie. His more memorable accolades have already been listed, but I was first really excited about him when he matched up on Fitz the first time around and practically shut him down. That's when I knew we got someone special. To go up against the best and hang with them as a rookie suggests the sky's the limit for this guy. Really excited to see him develop.
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
Janoris Jenkins has been the key reason the Rams have won back to back games. Without him last week, Greg the Leg wouldn't have had the opportunity to help our beloved Rams out with a pair of kicks. These two guys go hand in hand, but Jenkins has been HUGE! (Then again, so has Young GZ! So it's a toss up!)
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
Jenkins, but man what a crop of rookies. Snead knocked last years draft out of the park. Let's hope he does the same next year.
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
Tough choice but I gotta go with Jenkins, they guy has been huge for us on defense
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
I'm still the only vote for Brockers. His presence on the DLine is why we're winning.
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
Janoris, then Givens, and then Zuerlein
I'm just glad that we're having this conversation and have multiple rookies to consider
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
I don't ever remember a Rams team that's gotten this much production from a rookie class. At this point, it's a dead heat between GZ, JJ, and CG.

The main reason that I don't have him up there with the rest of the others is his limited body of work. He missed the first three games, and we didn't see an immediate difference when he came into the lineup. He has steadily improved, but today was really his first breakout game. He and Richardson have also been important contributors this year and Trumaine Johnson is getting playing time as well, which really highlights how impressive this draft class has been.
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
Don't count out Brockers, he's been coming on strong lately and has really helped shut down the run.
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
Greg the Leg, but Jenkins is closing in and Brockers is coming on. It's nice that this is an argument.
Re: To date who is the Rams rookie of the year?
could have gone for any of the 4 but went for Brockers. was great in both the Niners games and great yesterday.from being gashed for big runs alot in recent years he has been the main reason why we are now stout against the run.he`s also a threat when teams try to pass on us.
Snead,Fisher and the rest of those involved in the process for us really nailed this years draft.can`t wait to see what else they can get us in the future!

That's an outstanding point. Seriously, when was the last time a rookie class was this productive? I've looked back 20 years and can't find a rookie class that is this productive.
