David Vobora could be one answer on the outside ...

All the Rams recent draft failures aside, it seems that one potential diamond in the rough could be last year's Mr. Irrelevant David Vobora ...

Vobora started the season strong with nice outings in the first two games of the season, only to be setback by his suspension ...

He has again played fairly strong football the past three weeks. Vobora has a motor that doesn't stop. While this does cause him to overpursue on occasion, I have noticed that Vobora has a knack for finding his way into the opposing backfield. He has 5 tackles for loss in 8 games, and another 4 tackles resulting in a runner being stopped for no gain. Vobora is a great wrap-up tackler, and rarely lets a ball carrier get free when in the grasp ...

Vobora does need to improve in coverage, where he has been average, but by no means a liability ...

Overall, Vobora has been doing a very solid job in my opinion. He's a tough nosed hard hitting player who could definitely figure into the future as a starting LB here ....

    J. Lau and Vobora, paired with a very fast, rangy LB on the weakside, along with a wide body up front, could be a very solid group for us in the future ...

I have been noticing him too for a few weeks now.

Chemistry is happening in there. Some celebrating going on when some big stops are made.... I like it.

Yes I think we could be a great player if continued to be allowed a chance and development to progress....

    How the times do change.....

Just a few months ago, the LB corp was a filled with a bunch of WILL backers (Draft, Spoon, Pisa). Now, all of a sudden it appears the only true long-term question mark is the WILL.

Agreed. I was going to make a post on this too.

Vobora has a nonstop motor like James Laurinaitis. The chemistry in that linebacking corps is getting better. These guys are both REALLY young, so it'll only improve. In this draft, we need to look at getting another one, to complete our group.

This defense will be exciting for years to come.

To say I was 100% sold on Vobora would be a lie. I want to see consistent play out of the man, and over time, hopefully he won't get suspended again ...

With that said, he looks to be a 7th round steal. He had a 5th round grade if I recall correctly, and that's right in that area where you can get a solid SLB ...

If he continues to grow, I'll be very happy. He's got the fire and motor to be a player ...

I love how young the D is. Think about how young and how good this group could be after this up coming draft
Up front- Long, Ryan, (Suh,McCoy) very rare talent, need another end
LB- Vobora, J-Lau, need a Will
Sec- Bartell, OJ, Butler, (maybe fletcher)

Very young and loads of potential imo!!!

I agree totally, I'm not worried about the D at all I think we will progress just fine ... the offense is what scares me....! I just don't want to turn into the Ravens

Give the guy some time and I think he's going to develop into a solid LB. He better, I'm tired of all these bum draft picks lol.
