I remember when we moved to Los Angeles, I thought I was a cowboy


Life was grand when my Dad Carrol and my two brothers Mike and Ernie were all together with Uncle Charlie. Mom was alway gone in Las Vegas dancing


Then my Dad and Uncle Charlie were killed...ummm...accidently fell off our yacht in a "fishing accident". My brothers Mike and Ernie went away to a boarding school never to be heard from again. I later got a sister named Lucia, whom our gardner Manuel named. I never did figure that out.


Then came the long line of "Uncles" that would visit mommy that always wanted to "tuck me in" and gave me gifts to keep quiet. Anyway, I sure am glad to be the owner of the Rams now. Aren't you glad? I am. I think it's neato.

Haven't I done great this year? You would never want me to sell the team....would you?

I'm conflicted on the sale of the team. I remember reading an interview with Steve Rosenbloom (remember him?), in which he said that it was his dad's intention to have this organization be a Rosenbloom family venture for generations to come. If that is the case, I'd be OK with Chip (and Lucia) remaining the majority owner as long as the FO was staffed with competant FOOTBALL people. I'd want Chip's emphasis to be on putting together a winning organization, not just keeping guys around because you like them.

So, bottom-line, if Chip is willing to put the time and effort needed into hiring the right people for the FO, then supporting them and the efforts needed to get this team back into contention, why does he need to sell. If he doesn't have the desire or knowledge to do that, sell the team now.

I will agree with you, IF he proves to be his own man and makes changes without any sense of loyalty to his mother's choices. If this team is to get anywhere in the near future, a major overhaul of the front office and coaching staff will have to be made at the end of the year.
