Ahggg! On the poll I clicked on Ron Bartell by mistake (although I believe he will do more-than-average-well in the secondary, no mistake).

I'm looking forward to J. Carter. :angryram:

I PICKED JEROME CARTER, BUT REALLY I'M INTERESTED IN CHECKING OUT ALL THE DBs FOR THE RAMS.

BOTTOM LINE:THE RAMS NEED TO SHORE UP THE DEFENSE PERIOD. STARTING WITH DBs, COMING TOGETHER AS A STRONG AND FEARED COHESIVE UNIT,SHOULD BE THE MAIN FOCUS(NOW AND FOR THE NEAR FUTURE.) WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THE RAMS HAD A REPUTATION(FEARED,RESPECTED) ON DEFENSE? --DO REMEMBER "THE FEARSOME FOURSOME". HOPEFULLY OUR DBs WILL BECOME "FEARSOME CORNERSOME".

Well, I know that we've virtually discarded Aeneas Williams to play again, but with Jerametrious Butler on a serious health limbo...

One more season out of Captain Aeneas? :angryram:

I am interested in seeing all of these guys play. Get them some experience so that we can figure out who will fill in for the injuries that we are dealing with as well as the ones that will come during the year.

Does anyone think that we should just sit Fisher until the season opener. Keep at least 1 starter healthy.

I just want guys who are hungry and will make an impact. I'm looking for the entire defensive unit to be cohesive, and feed off of one another. :clanram:

I wouldn't mind having him back on the roster as a player/coach. IMO he's not a starter, but could play some downs and be a team captain.:clanram:

    [Aeneas Williams] Defensive Coordinator --RamsFan16

Hey, not a bad idea. I think he would be the type of DC that Coach Dungy was.

I don't want to rain on your parade but M Stone isn't exactly the second coming of Anneas Williams, not even the downgraded version you got.

He may or may not be a good guy but he is a mariginal player at best. Making the team should be a challenage, if you are expecting him to start then you are in for a long year.

Of course being a Cardinal fan that wouldn't upset me , but seriously, Stone is is a very marginal guy. Athletic sure but he never made it here and that was with Marmie as the DC. So what has changed now ?

That could be because in Arizona he played more corner than anything. He's a step too slow but nobody knows if he'd make a good safety or not.

He's led the Cardinals in special teams tackles so he can obviously tackle. We weren't expecting much more than a special teams ace when we signed Stone.

Re: Which Defensive Back are you looking forward to

No actually he played saftey a lot. Noy quote fast enouht to be a good corner and a long way from being good enough to cover at saftey.

He does pretty good on ST coverage, then every third play gets a 15yd penalty for being dead above the neck.

If he every 'gets it' he could be a good saftey but he sure wasn't here under Marmie. I don't know if it's work ethic or a lack of processing power but the result is the same every week.,

Dumb major penalties all over the place and blown coverages.
