Despite win, Bradford criticizes himself ..

The stats look pretty good: 23 of 41 passing for 289 yards, two TDs and a solid passer rating of 84.3 in a 20-3 win over Seattle. But St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford didn't like what he saw when he watched the game film Monday.

"I don't think I played very good yesterday. I think I've got a lot of room for improvement," Bradford said. "And I know that I'm going to have to do better down the road once we get into some closer ballgames."

Asked to elaborate, Bradford said, "I just felt like I missed some easy throws. I felt like I was just off-target on a couple of throws. They didn't hurt us yesterday, but down the road in a close ballgame when we need to keep drives going, need to keep the offense on the field, they could come back to haunt us. It's really just me slowing down, staying in rhythm, and then delivering an accurate ball."

Bradford was kinder to himself when evaluating his first four NFL games.

"I feel like I've improved each week, and I feel like I've gotten more comfortable out there each week, which I think is a huge positive," he said. "If I hadn't improved each week, I'd be sitting here probably asking myself some questions, maybe trying to figure out what I was doing out there. But I have gotten more comfortable, I feel like I have made progress, and I feel like Coach (Pat) Shurmur (offensive coordinator) is starting to gain more trust in me. I feel like he's more comfortable with me being out there.

"I feel good, and I think as long as I can continue to improve, then by the end of the year I'll be in a pretty good spot."

No resting on your laurels. I like what this kid brings. He could say "Yea, I think I am playing well for a rookie" but instead he says "I need to play better than this if we are going to win" after they win. Have to like that kind of hunger.

I still like Stoops nickname "Big Easy" for Sam's on-field demeanor.

Good for this young man. Character he's got, honesty, etc.

That INT in the end zone Vs. Sawks must have hurt so much, more than it did us, of course! This is where good mentors and coaches come in, to help SB let it go, learn, and move on to greater accomplishments this season.

It will be terrific to see this rookie grow as a man / player / QB.
