Which "diamond in the rough" longshot will make the biggest impact?
Last year, it was Darian Stewart.
Who will it be this year?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Which "diamond in the rough" longshot will make the biggest impact?
I went Matthew Daniels, S... He's a big hitter.
Not on your list or on my radar until camp is Conrath he's running with the ones on occasion and playing well.
Conrath got his introduction to the NFL in the spring, participating in the team’s OTAs and minicamps. Although the Rams weren’t in pads during that time, he made a strong initial impression on the coaching staff with his willingness to do whatever is asked as well as the athletic ability he has relative to his size.Well see where he goes from here...The work Conrath did in the spring has apparently helped pay off early in training camp. While it’s way too early to make any definitive statements about how the depth chart will ultimately look inside, Conrath’s presence working with the second unit and even occasionally as part of the rotation with the first unit is noticeable.

I too went with Daniels. There seems to be a big opportunity to grab a roster place there.
Yes, Conrath does seem to be getting good reviews and sounds promising.
I've a feeling that one of the tight ends, Peterson or Harkey, could come through - particularly if Hooman has a recurrence of his injury problems.

Wasn't Aaron Brown one of our 7th round picks?

Re: Which "diamond in the rough" longshot will make the biggest impact?
I know this will sound dumb, but Keller Noah could be a huge asset on special teams coverage....He could be the guy that impacts play on kick and punt returns ....
I don't think anyone will have impact on the list -- Daniels and Brown seem to have the most talent, but I think Noah has the most heart...

Gotta go with Matt Daniels. Big hitter, plus the Safety position isn't exactly nailed down. Not saying he'll get the job, but I could imagine he would have some time for the 3rd safety position out there in unique "joker" packages. He also can contribute majorly on ST.

Reading good things about Conrath.
Have read next to nothing about those on the list.

Todd Anderson, he will most likely sit as the 2nd string FB and having a year with Ovie Mughelli to mentor him and show signs of progression in year 2 (similar to Darian Stewart).

Re: Which "diamond in the rough" longshot will make the biggest impact?
I went with Mr. Aaron Brown. I've heard some good things about him throughout the offseason and training camp plus he will have a greater chance of starting or filling in at one of the LB spots if someone goes down...

What about Alex Hoffman-Ellis? I've heard good things about him, especially as a coverage linebacker
