I thought the same thing for a bit but then rethought it and don't think the Bears run the same scheme that Fisher likes run.

we been mostly running a 4-3 cover 2 scheme that Lovie is well versed in.

Well his uncle was a very good DC for the Rams.

I'm also wondering about when the league will decide on Williams. If Fisher wanted to go outside and make a hire waiting on the decision could hinder that. Of course it's not an issue if Fisher plans to promote from within.

They're similar in that they both feature a four man front with three linebackers, but after that, there are some pretty big differences in their respective schemes.

As for the original question, unless there's someone out there who Fisher has a previous connection with that suddenly is looking for a job, I think they'll either maintain what they did in 2012 or promote someone already on the staff.

Not able to listen to the audio, but to me, the differences are night and day in terms of aggressiveness of players in the back seven. I really don't think they'd be very compatible in terms of defensive philosophy.
