Do We Have The Makings Of An Opportunistic, Turnover Creating Defense?

Say what you want about the defense, but through the first three preseason games, they look to me like a hard hitting, aggresive, opportunistic group that can take the ball away from opposing offenses. Multiple turnovers in all three games for a total of nine, I'm really hoping this trend can translate to the regular season because turnovers are game changers.

Now if we can only get that tackling thing down.....

I think we need a tackling coach. Outside of that, our defense looks strong.

From what I've seen on tape (which isn't much, unfortunately, I never get to watch my Rams play), and my theory...

I have to say that no one really knows what we'll be great or bad at. There are obvious issues on both sides of the ball, but we are a young team and I'm sure we will see more than just 1 gem on this football. We're still rebuilding, but this team is full of unknowns. Like Spags said, this is the land of opportunity. We are going to see who the real football players are, the hard working players, and eventually mold into a solid football team. These things take time, but I do agree with you Mike, I think Spags is putting this team in the right direction, especially on defense.

It was not as bad as last week. The Rams have had a hard camp these guy have to be feeling it. The D liiks alot better too me. I'm more worried about the O dink and dunk and run,run,run...We should be in alot of games.

Yes, I think we will. With that being said, we will (at times) get picked apart and give up big plays. But we'll also CREATE some big plays of our own and we should be able to attack our opponents instead of sitting back and letting them attack us.

I also want to warn that maybe the Bengals offensive line sucks so that might be a bit of fools gold. But anyway.

Re: Do We Have The Makings Of An Opportunistit

I think by game 4 of the regular season we will be a D that is showing

the signs of being that top 10 D.. I also think we will be in the top 10 by

the end of the year in causing turnovers.
