Do you think SJ39 will reach the 1000yd mark again this season?

I made this thread after thinking about Steven possibly moving on after this season but seeing as he might be able to complete another 1000+ season and wanted to look up what he needed and if he has a shot at completing another successful season of impressive indivdual accomplishment.

Steven needs 276 yards in 5 games which averages out to 55 yards a game which doesn't sound like much at all for Steven given the 5 opponets:

@Bills
Vikings
@Bucs
@Seattle

I am worried about him getting injured however which is my main concern of him not reaching the 1000 yard mark again.
I'm thinking he will reach this mark while averaging 75 yds. a game to finish out with 1174 rushing yards. What do you think?

I don't see why not. The last 3 games have been his strongest of the year. In this 1-1-1 stretch, he's amassed 321 yards on the ground. If he can keep running like that, he'll hit that 1k mark easily.

yes he's really started to come on lately and is less than 300 yards away with 5 games left. I see no reason to believe he won't.

Damn I'm on the road but I could of swore that this will be his 8th 1000yd plus season but not sure. And think only Emmit Smith, Barry Sanders, and Thurman thomas has reached this mark?

It would be his 8th straight. Only 5 players have ever managed that, the guys you mentioned , along with LaDainian Tomlinson and Curtis Martin.

Well, we've all been given 7 contiguous examples that he has it in him to do it. His longest run last weekend reminded me of the one he had in the opener last year... except WITHOUT the quad pull. Was good to see.

He's healthy and team has a desire, so I'll think he'll pull it off.

Most definitely. He's hitting his stride at the perfect time, and he's been staying relatively fresh with Richardson giving him some rest.

Now that the Rams have figured out that he needs to get more than 13 carries a game, and that he can take control of a game, he's a lock for 1000 yards.

Not to be a wet blanket, but he will need to average 56 yards a game to do this. He has done that in only 6 of the 11 games this season.

Now, I think he'll get this done (as I said earlier in this thread), but let's not just hand it to him. It's still a question mark.
