Do you want the Rams to win? (Barry's atricle)

Barry wrote an atricle about to groups of fans. He says that some fans think the Rams would be better off losing the game. Two reasons were discussed for wanting the Rams to lose neither of which I agree with. The one that makes me pull my hair out the least is regarding where we will finish as far as the NFL draft. The other was out of some type of self gratification that proves them right. The article goes on and starts making sense aluding to winning be important to a team at a crossroads. I agree with latter. Is there anyone here who thinks the Rams would be better off losing against the Jets? I'm taking notes!

I can understand fans who, after the fact, look for "silver linings" resulting from a loss.

But hoping for a loss before the fact? A true fan would NEVER do that.

Agree agree agree! At 7-8 how much better could our pick be if we lost? What TRUE fan EVER wishes for an outright loss? Shame.

Couldn't agree more. I listened to people after the Arizona game say how the Rams are an embarassment to the city and should lose their last two games because they don't deserve wins. I just can't believe so-called Ram fans would go that far. It's one thing to be frustrated after a loss or to find something good after the fact, but to say you want the Rams to lose upcoming games removes all doubt from my mind - you're not a true fan.

So true, Nick. I understand people being frustrated after losses, but now that we're in, those people wishing for the Ed Dome to get swallowed up in a New Madrid earthquake need to take note of the fact that this team is not dead, and in fact is now in the same position as only 11 other teams in the league. A chance at the prize.
