Does anyone know
With the recent Arch thread and the stepping down of players like Bettis, Smith and some of the other recently I have a question for you all, and the answer might shock you. This has been to hot area of discussion lately on a local sports talk radio.
What is the average mortality rate among NFL players? Or what is the average life expectancy?

The good Lord just did not design the human body to act as a battering ram. These guys keep themselves together with pain killers and ace bandages long enough to have a career, and when it's over...it's over. The body has sustained so much damage, there's no way to expect a post-football life without pain.
