Does Steven Jackson rush for more yads than he did last year?

Last year Steven Jackson rushed for 1,416 yards on 324 carries.

My question is:

Do you think S-Jax goes higher or lower than 1,416 yards this season?

He is currently on 1,081 yards with games against Chiefs, 49'ers and Seahawks still to come.

I think he will. I see him running for almost 150 against Frisco.

It's gonna be close. I don't see him missing or going over by any more than 50 yards.

Jackson is more than capable of course but the odds are stacked against him.

He would have to rush for 112 yards per game for the next three games. Considering the SF and SEA both held him to under 100 in our first match-up and that Shurmur has been calling some balanced games it's not looking good.

Although I did predict he would be in the top 5 rushers at the end of the year so my fingers are crossed.

Let's not forget that SJ39 averaged 4 yards a carry at SF and only received 20 carries. As for the Seattle game, he had a groin injury and still managed 70 something yards. I can see him hitting close to 112 in both games, especially if the Rams get an early lead.

I think he will, because I believe that he needs to step his game up in order for us to make the playoffs. I see him having at least one monster game the next three weeks and the other two to be 100+.

I'd love for him to have 3 huge weeks and end up in the top 3 in the NFL for rushing yards, but really how many big games does he have? He is usually a really consistent with a 85-100 yard performances. He never really goes off for like 160..so I think he will have to have 3 110 yard games which is definently manageable. Although, I will pass, I sure hope he proves me wrong.

I've heard him say that this is the first time he has felt healthy in December and has a lot left in the tank.

I love what Sam has done over the season, but I think its time we put the ball in Jacksons hands and let him do what he does best.

I can see him exploding all over the Chiefs and 49'ers in the next 2 weeks and being the main reason why we clinch the nfc west title before we head to Seattle week 17.

Time to unleash the beast.

That would be nice, although I can see the starters getting some play regardless. The Rams lack of playoff talent will dictate that they stay as sharp as possible.

If we win the next two and seattle isnt in the picture anymore then i can see your point. Jax won't completely be held out but he'll only see very limited time. At this point of the season and with what can be at stake, i don't really think Jax cares about anything except the wins.

Possible, but I really don't see it, unless he has a 175 yard game somewhere. Because I don't see him averaging 133 in all 3.
