Doesn't look like Spags defense requires a huge interior NT ...

Looking at the Giants roster, they don't have a DT over 317 pounds. So, looks like with Spags schemes, we may not have a need to look for a big bulky bruiser. Maybe Ryan and Carriker will be just to his liking ...

We know we'll be running a 4-3, I wonder what role he will play Carriker in? I wonder, at his weight, what he could do rushing off the edge ...

Ya this blitzing scheme is more about penetrating Tackles than guys who take up blocks. It is the same in Philly where Brodrick Bunkley is 302 pounds and Paterson is 298. Carriker is perfectly fine where he ended the season at UT. He will get a lot off penetration and I think in this scheme he could at least have a 5 sack season. I think the same goes for Ryan he isn't a true NT and doesn't have to be one. I expect alot of pentration in the backfield out of those 2. One thing we definately need to do is get bigger at LB.

I agree...now with Spagnuolo's scheme keep Carriker at UT, dont' try moving him anywhere, and keep Clifton Ryan in at the other DT spot.

Keep Long at DE of course, and maybe Adeyanju can start next season << he makes some good plays.

Find another player or two in the Draft/Free Agency, and we'll see what happens.
