Re: Donnie Avery or DeSean Jackson? Bad luck or bad draft?
Taunting, celebrating, showboating, dancing, its all in the same category to me, and none of it really bothers me except if a player does it while their team is losing.
But wow, what's with the harsh words on DeSean? If the Giants didn't want to see him "showboat" someone should have made a play likes he's paid to do. Or better yet, they could have not given up all those points. Nothing I saw from DeSean on Sunday warrants calling him "a piece of $***" sir, but you can call him a clutch playmaker.
Avery might not even be a Ram next year.

Re: Donnie Avery or DeSean Jackson? Bad luck or bad draft?
This guy is a great player. If we get rid of him I will be so mad. He is electrifying and has game changing speed. Unofficially Avery clocked in at 4.27 and Jackson clocked in at 4.35. I just wanted to show some people who seem to forget how fast this guy actually is. I will guarantee you guys next year this guy breaks out. He has had some decent seasons, just been plagued with injuries. Anyway, Avery is just as explosive as Jackson and he will prove it next year.

Re: Donnie Avery or DeSean Jackson? Bad luck or bad draft?
I'm not saying Avery should be gone, I'm saying he may be gone. sosa39rams, I hope Avery breaks out next year for us, I really do. But nothing is guaranteed, especially for a guy who has suffered so many injuries in such a short span.

I'm still taking a wait and see approach on Avery. I want to see what he can do with a healthy year, with a more experienced Bradford throwing him the ball.

Re: Donnie Avery or DeSean Jackson? Bad luck or bad draft?
Do you guys REMEMBER why Jackson got passed up? He came in to the combine weighing 160 pounds. Nobody thought he could play w/ big corners/safeties or take a hit.
PLUS - Does anybody remember who the ELITE WR coming out of this class was? I do, because I wanted to throw up when I saw the Rams take Avery. Because I wanted the "BEST" WR in the draft.
Guess who that was? And who (all of these guys) projected the number one WR?
DEVIN THOMAS. Yea - Michigan State. The guy who just got cut by the Redskins.
Shows what these losers know. And myself. Any everybody else. It is hit or miss folks! Hindsight is 20/20.

Re: Donnie Avery or DeSean Jackson? Bad luck or bad draft?
I think Avery is a good player. He just needs to be healthly. Obvouisly, he won't be has good as DJax but he will be just fine.
That was the last group, not Spags group.
The only thing Spags group has done that bothers me is they didn't go after A. Herdandez when he was falling. We easy could have scooped him up to be Bradford's best friend/best target. Instead we get Gilyard early for his special team qualities and we end up playing Danny Boy over him anyway.
Gilyard had character questions, and doesn't have the speed to contribute. Unless he makes a total turn around in the off-season he is a wasted pick.
2011 is huge for playmakers. We should follow KC Chiefs mentality and get playmakers.
They went Berry and McCluster -- not the most popular picks at the time, but big Playmakers....then Javier Arenas another big playmaker on special teams..then later Tony Moeaki....playmakers...playmakers....
DE, WR, TE, OLB DB, etc....we need elite speed and strength all of the field....
that is all !!!!!!!!!
