    Donnie Jones: The Record Watch (post-week 3)

    NFL records - 114 punts - 4,968 yards - 51.4 y/p
    Rams records - 99 punts - 4,202 yards

    Jones (per game avg.) - 20 punts (6.7) - 1,037 yards (346) - 51.2 y/p

    needs to average per game to break (italics = on track to break):
    NFL records - 7.2 punts - 302 yards - 51.4 y/p
    Rams records - 6.1 punts - 244 yards - 47.2 y/p

    This is one of those records that I don't want Jones to break or even come close to.

    Yardage I can live with but number of punts is sickening.

    I for one am ashamed. How could we pull the rug out from under Donnie like that? I hereby demand that if we have a 3rd and 13 or longer, we immediately punt.

    Come on, Donnie, punt like you mean it! How are teams going to pile up yards if you don't pin um deep?! Whoo!
