Well, I hear what you're saying 16, but usually after 4 preseason games the team shouldn't need anymore wake-up calls. However, one game does not a season make. And as you said, we could still wind up 11-5. And there aren't many 11-5 teams missing the postseason, are there?Quote:

I don't know that they were giving 50%. At one point we looked desparate to win.
I think the O-line has been ignored for too many years (too little, too late).
I keep going back to this, but this was not a good team that beat us.
Our Run DeF should be praised for today, but much tougher tests lay ahead for them.

Perhaps we game-planned for the 2-14 9ers, and that team doesn't exist anymore? New Coach, new schemes, new faces?
I don't think that calling them the "Worst team in the NFL" is necessarily true anymore. Their D was impressive and they managed to move the ball effectively at times. Oh, yeah....and they won. So if they're the "worst team in the NFL" and they won, what does that make us?
Now don't flame me out for bad-talking our boys, 'cause I am NO pessimist or fair-weather fan. My Sig says it all. I'm just trying to propose that maybe they were a better team than we expected. I believe in our boys and what they can do, I just don't think we took this game as seriously as we needed to. And several glaring weaknesses were exposed.
We can rebound and I KNOW we will. My memory is fleeting and next week is a new game, waiting.
