Guess it's time to officially say good bye to Gary Gibson. Oh, and you too Mr. Ryan......

Wow, I thought the was better than that, though I think my point was still valid. Typical Colt tackles are smaller(though this one is above 300...) and more agile. Maybe Muir was their attempt at getting bigger and more able to stop the run. Seeing a starting Colt tackle at 77th isn't surprising at all.
    I believe!

when the top tackles were off the board I joked that we would probably settle with someone like Muir, now my joke is a proven reality, so i guess I called this one.

At least we signed Bannan, who i think will be a revelation here in a 4-3.

Muir, however, is just barely depth. Nobody w/ the Colts misses this guy for a reason.

Purely a JAG. I'm not excited about this signing. To me its no different than trotting Gibson or Scott out there. Hope we signed him to a light deal.

Did anybody catch this part? How the heck do we give em Grecco and and a 7th? Must be a typo?

Not a splashy signing, but a nice pickup. Will likely be the starter or Bannan. Another hole filled, and one more to go.

Excellent depth, if our defense happens to be around the field for too long for some reason again this year, we'll at least have some fresh guys to attack opposing offenses.

This is purely a depth move. This is Cliff Ryan's replacement based on last years roster, and he will have to challenge Scott and Cudjo for a roster spot. Bannan and Robbins are the starters at DT.

I would say he is an upgrade over Ryan. Not sure how good his ball security is but at least Steve Breaston is now with the Chiefs

OH Yeah, another decent signing for the Rams. This free agency is the best I can remember. I know its too early to tell but it seems like every player we went for we GOT. I do not think the Rams had to go to their second or third option player like other years.
REMEMBER, next year we will have to sign a lot of our own players so it will be a lot different.?
Muir should be an upgrade over GIbson, so I do not understand peoples negativity towards Muir.?
    GO RAMS

Not to burst your bubble, but the Rams reportedly expressed interest in and then either lost out or moved on from Sidney Rice, Scott Shanle, Bradley Stewart, Darren Sproles, Reggie Bush, Brandon Mebane, Melvin Bullitt, and Plaxico Burress. But I agree, this has been one of the better free agency periods of recent years, as the team has still made some very solid additions.

    Stewart Bradley not Bradley Stewart

i don't know how much the team were chasing Burress, but it seemed like there wasn't much chance of that happening. The only one i think the Rams walked away from was Bullitt, who was talked about only shortly before Mikell signed. I don't know if the team wanted to sign both though?
It seems the Rams lost out on the other guys though.

The Rams may have been interested in the players above, but I believe it was just a case of the Rams putting the feelers out.? In reality, I still feel the Rams got the players, that were a realistic target.
Back to Muir. The little I have read about Muir from the Indy sites, the majority say he is a solid player.
Not a starter, but a good player for there rotation.?

Maybe, but more than likely, they were legitimately interested in at least some, missed out, and moved on to other solid options. Happens to every team, I would imagine. But the Rams aren't immune.
