DT La''Roi Glover Retires

Former Saints Pro Bowl DT La'Roi Glover announced his retirement from football.
A fifth-round pick by the Raiders in 1996, Glover made his mark with the Saints. His 17 sacks in 2000 led the NFL while ranking second in history among defensive tackles. The six-time Pro Bowler finished his 13-year career with 83.5 sacks, an outstanding number for a defensive tackle.

I will miss this guy. He never caused us trouble and was a positive influence to our team. I wish him the best of luck!

He was quite friendly the one time I met him. Definitely a good guy just trying to get the job done, but he's simply too old for the game now. Good luck with the rest of your life Glove!

He had an excellent career, and was always a pretty good guy from what I've heard.
Best of luck in the future Mr. Glover! I hear he's looking to go in to broadcasting.

Great guy, great career, but he should have hung 'em up a few years ago. The fact that Haslett and the Rams chose to keep him around as long as they did speaks volumes about the direction, or lack there of , that the defense WAS going the last couple of seasons. Change is definitely good.

a very good player in his prime,maybe did stay on a year or two to long,but good guy off the field also,wish him the best with whatever his non football career brings him.

It's a shame we didn't have him in his prime, but I appreciate his attitude. I'm sure he was a good influence on the young talent (or lack therof).

Well put I was just about to say that. He was probably the second best UT of this decade behind Warren Sapp.
