    Is DX Done?

The window of opportunity for DX seems to be closing fast. He's seen little of the practice field and doesn't look close to playing against Dallas on Saturday or even Baltimore at the end of the month.

Fisher has already made it clear that DX has to get on the field and compete. Past regimes were patient and kept him on the roster despite injury issues, but I don't think that will happen this year with the log jam in front of him. Even with Pettis suspended for the first two games of the season, DX is facing an end to his incredible journey as a Ram.

Yeah he's done... as a Ram not in the NLF. Some team will have a spot for him I hope.

Yea i dont think he makes the team,Fisher doesnt look like he is going to hold out as much hope as the past staff did for him.Its going to kill me when we release him and he signs with another team and he puts his injuries behind him and actually produces.I know thats a long shot but he has the talent to be a very good receiver in the NFL we all know it.

In an odd way, Pettis has an advantage, as he won't count toward the 53-man roster while he is serving his suspension.

It is, quite frankly, miraculous that DX lasted two years in the NFL with his injury history. Unfortunately, I think his time with the Rams is near its end.

    Re: Is DX Done?

I think he is done with the Rams. I don't see any way that he is going to make this team, barring serious injury to others. His injury history, coupled with the fact that he doesn't contribute on special teams, seals his fate. He may get a shot elsewhere and i think we would all like to see him do well, but his body is simply not fit for an nfl career, which is a shame.

    Re: Is DX Done?

I think its safe to say that he is. The reasons being all that you mentioned just now. This regime simply may not be so lenient with the kid, despite all the talent he brings to the table, would be taking up a roster spot for another player who is trying to develop into their own at the same position. I think if he comes back for Baltimore, and gets some reps with the #1's, he may have a very slim chance. But if he doesn't, then he's as good as gone, I'll say.

I feel so sorry for the kid because he can produce, without a doubt, when healthy. And he has developed a rapport with Sam last year. But its clear that the organization may want to head in a different direction.

He is 6'5 with speed and can take the top offf of a defense. No one can immulate their skill, but can you think of a better (cant think of a better description) punching bag fr our dbs to prepare for that speed and size.

Let me re-phrase. I don't think he qualifies per NFL rule.

    Re: Is DX Done?

Its so sad to say this but I dont see him lasting past week 3 at the latest once Pettis comes back from suspension. I love the kid and have rooted for him from the start but liking and being a key part of the team are two different things.
