Eleven Job Openings: Who Gets The Jobs?
Barring a trade or a major injury, I see 42 players who are locks to make the 53 man roster. They are:
QB: Bulger, Frerotte, Fitzpatrick (3)
RB: Jackson, Leonard (2)
FB: Hedgecock (1)
WR: Holt, Bruce, Bennett, Hall (4)
OL: Pace, Setterstrom, McCollum, Incognito, Barron, Steussie, Romberg (7)
TE: McMichael, Klopfenstein, Walker (3)
DE: Little, Hall, Adeyanju (3)
DT: Carriker, Glover, Wroten, Ryan (4)
LB: Tinoisamoa, Witherspoon, Chillar, Draft, Alston (5)
CB: Hill, Brown, Bartell, Wade (4)
S: Atogwe, Chavous, Johnson (3)
ST: Wilkins, Jones, Massey (3)
That leaves 11 spots remaining. Here are the players I think will make it (in order of certainty):
C/G Dustin Fry
CB Lenny Walls
WR/H Dane Looker
SS Jerome Carter
DT Keith Jackson
RB Travis Minor
OG Milford Brown
DE Eric Moore
LB Quinton Culberson
CB Darius Vinnett
WR/KR Derek Stanley
Most notable players I think will be cut:
OL Adam Goldberg
LB Raonall Smith
TE Dominique Byrd
OG Claude Terrell
Some players I see destined for the practice squad:
RB Rich Alexis
WR Marques Hagans
OT Ken Shackleford
DT Tim SandidgeLast edited by AvengerRam; -08-06-2007 at 02:51 PM.

I thought Goldberg was doing alright. In any case, I'd probably keep him, put Keith Jackson on the squad and drop Sandidge.
Oh, and I'm rooting for Hagans to make it over Looker.

Looker is already pretty much guaranteed to get a roster spot

You really see these guys getting cut? They all (except for Byrd) have starting experience which IMO gives them the upper hand. I can see if Walker beats out Byrd he would be gone, but Goldberg, Smith and Terrell bring quality depth.OL Adam Goldberg

Re: Eleven Job Openings: Who Gets The Jobs?
Unless Romberg beats out McCollum in head-to-head competition, I don't see him making it because he can only play center and the Rams might want a guy that can play multiple positions like A. Golberg and D. Fry. Also I agree that C. Terrell should beat out M. Brown. It would be pretty embarrassing to have a former member of one of the worst OLs in the league make the Rams squad. Finally, there was a small note in one of the posts recently that two of A. Walker's long-snaps in punt formation sailed over the head of out punter: while ordinarily this wouldn't be a big deal, I gotta believe Walker's hold on a roster spot is very tenuous at this time, and he had better show that he can do more than just be a 3rd string TE. Therefore D. Byrd may well have moved ahead of Walker due to his greater upside potential.

TE Dominique Byrd
OG Claude Terrell
I tink they make it on the roster, Terrell is looking good and Byrd looked good when he got his chance to play.
