fahkhir brown and will allen
note that will allen got 5 million guaranteed, double what mr. fahkhir got. Will allen got starters money. fahkhir did not. Case closed once and for all.

Re: fahkhir brown and will allen
GC you may be right but taking the will allen signing as case closed is a bit much. You can't take a single signing and assume that is the market. That's like saying Bruce is paid back-up WR money because TO got twice as much in bonus and 1st year salary. I can hear the argument, but Bruce is a #2 WR and TO is a #1, well you can make that same argument on the corners.
Brown may well be getting #3 corner money, but it takes more data than the Allen signing to 'close the case'.

Re: fahkhir brown and will allen
Definitively, maybe it will take more, but intuitively, this case was ALREADY closed. Brown was paid solid back-up money. There's no corner, signed as a starter, accepting that little.it takes more data than the Allen signing to 'close the case'"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: fahkhir brown and will allen
I appreciate your point. I was using will allen as the final example of multiple non star starter signings of guys that got considerably more money than fahkhir brown. I didnt mean to suggest that will allen in a vacuum proves the point, but thanks for the clarification.

Hope he is starter
My hope is he comes in surprises and becomes a very good #2 corner, easing pressure to resign or sign a new FA corner for next year, and allows Bartell or a newly drafted CB to be the new #1 corner.
Now that's money well spent.
