    fahkir and the 53 man roster

    question, while brown is suspended by the league, does he count as one of the 53 guys on the roster. Said another way, will we be carrying 53 guys other than brown in weeks 1-4.

    Good question. I have no idea, but I would think he wouldn't count since he wouldn't be active for that time period.

    If he didnt count towards the 53 man roster, maybe both rumph and walls will make the team. I will ask howard, he will know the answer.

    If i had to bet one way or another, i would bet that he does count. He is under contract and he is not on injured reserve. I dont think it makes sense for the rules to allow the team to benefit by carrying an extra player when a guy is under suspension. This is an incentive to carry solid citizens on your roster. Just a wild guess on my part however.

    He counts on the 53 man roster, but he does not(read: will not) be part of the 48 or whatever number it is that is activated on game days.
