it was the more or less full swing into the free agency/ parity era.
no one can really predict from one year to next who the better teams will be because everything is so screwy now. the experts are just sports fans like we are and they usually arent that far off. out of 6 teams getting into playoffs they usually get 3 or 4 teams right. you dont need to be a complete team to go far now. and its hard to pick teams when everyone is so inconsistant. the Rams -D- wasnt that great in 99 but they were lucky to face another team that had no post season experiance and came out on top.

I also don't really care what the experts, or other football fans think of my Rams.

In fact, I prefer to see the other NFC West teams mentioned as "favorites", and "darkhorses" in all the football pre-season mags and sports talk radio shows and online "expert predictions." But I'm not one that feels my Rams are the team to beat in '07. They have a ways to go and will need to make great strides before I'm convinced they're the "real deal". I do think they'll own one of the NFL's best offenses. BUT... they need to show me on the field that their defense is up to the task. Too many if's on D. So, I'll sit patiently and wait, and watch as the preseason unfolds before I begin waving the "We're number 1" big foam finger. As I do every year at this time, I'm OPTIMISTIC that my Rams WILL be better, and CAN win the division, but I'm just a fan. This is not a great team. Not yet. Maybe not ever. But, we'll see, and hope. ...and no matter what, I'll come back next year and repeat the process.

Year after year the so-called "experts" make their predictions, and it's really funny how bad those experts are at picking accurately. So I listen, read, and watch them make their predictions, and I just sit back and smile and keep the faith.

I will make one prediction though. I predict the experts will be wrong again this year.

Yeah, I always root for Rams Super Bowl, anyone can do it even though this isn't always the case. I'll just pick them to win it all this year. The funny thing is living near D.C. I barely ever get to see them play, but usually when I'm around and watch a full Rams game live, without having to keep up on the computer, they ALWAYS win. This has always happened except for the 01' Super Bowl, but I probably went up and downstairs. They usually turn the ball over when I go up to get food, I come down and the other team scores or something bad happens. I'm not kidding at all. They always win when I watch. This year though I may be able to go to the Baltimore game with some friends, and they aren't playing the Skins this year. Though I'm not sure, maybe I should just watch it at home to be sure they win :-D.
