Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
First ballot HOF's?
I mean, once Holt is retired. I think he will own many many records. Including all time yards.
What do you guys think? I go to school with Steeler and Brown fans and I think they kind of brainwashed me into thinking these 3 guys would only be a "maybe" first ballot HOF'ers.
So, are they?

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
Faulk, yes.
Bruce, I kind of doubt it but another 1000 yard season would help his case.
Holt, hard to say until he's done.

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
I think all three will get in on their first shot. Reason being, alot of people hate the Rams but I hear so often people praise these three and their stats speak for themselves! They are class acts which I do beleive helps too. These guys made up the GSOT.......they're are in first shot! Bada Bing!!!!!

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
Lot of people don't think that Bruce will go in.
Faulk is a sure first ballot HOFer though.

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
Faulk is a no brainer. No even debatable.
Holt is on pace to make it. Will know more in about 3 years.
Here's the deal with Bruce. Right now he is 7th alltime in receptions and Yards. If he plays 3 more years he will very likely be 3rd in Yards behind Rice and Harrison and 5th in receptions. That and the SB winning TD catch should do it for him.Last edited by max; -05-15-2007 at 08:55 PM.

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
Yes on Faulk and Bruce, in that order of course. Holt may have to wait beyond the five year post retirement to get all the due recognition and allowed into Canton.

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
I always knew Faulk would be in it for sure. I'm sure Bruce will be.
And Holt, he's on pace to be arguable the best WR ever. So I think he will make it.

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
Faulk is in, no doubt.
Bruce should be, but there are a lot of WRs with impressive stats who have been passed over (Art Monk being the most notable), and several more that will be lining up with Bruce. Still, with a couple more productive years, his career numbers may be enough to get him in.
Holt is on a HOF pace, but needs a few more big years to be a lock.
Orlando Pace also has a good shot, and Aeneas Williams will be a HOFer.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
if bruce does not get in, it will be disappointing for sure... he's put up very solid numbers throughout his career... he should even have about 60 more catches and 1000 more yards if he wasnt hurt in 1998 and parts of 2005....

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
what i'm reading hear sounds like alot of you guys don't think Bruce would get in if he were to retire today,i'm curious to find out why,he has the stats,he has won a championship, and he is a 1st class person on and off the field.i hate to mention his name but Michael Irvin is in the HOF,should be enough said as far as Isaac goes.

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
Faulk - Yes.
Bruce - Now, maybe......two more par years, Yes.
Holt - Now, no........three more par years, Yes."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
Faulk for sure is a first ballot HoF'er.
If Bruce gets about 8-10 TD's this season or that much over the course of 2 seasons, then that would I think put him in top 10 all time in WR rec yds and TD's.
If Holt has another 3 good seasons) meaning he's a probowler all of those years would put in in top 10 in WR rec yds. If he avgs 7TD's over those 3 seasons that would give him 85 TD's which would rank just out of the top 10. However Michael Irvin only had 64 TD's and he's where Holt is now in that category. Holt will get in, I just dont know when and we don't know who's gonna be eligable then etc.
Of course another SB wouldnt hurt their resumes, but they do already have one and have competed in 2 so....
But yo ugot to remember that the selection committee is ran by a bunch of clowns.Last edited by The Shredder; -05-16-2007 at 04:52 PM.

Re: Faulk, Bruce, Holt question
The SB thing IMO is overrated especially at the WR position. If Marvin Harrison didnt win a SB last season I can guarantee you he would be a 1st ballot. TO will be in the HoF as will Randy Moss. Chris Carter never won one and either did Larget if I remember correctly. If you are top 10 in both TD's and Rec yds at the WR position youre gonna be in the HoF, which Holt and Bruce both will have by the end of there careers. That is if Bruce plays another season after this one.
