Re: Few forgotten things
Atogwe's blitz, forcing the fumble was also a great play! As hard as this loss is to take, there were some good plays made by our team in this game as mentioned above. We certainly aren't there yet, but they are something to build upon.

Re: Few forgotten things
You're right, Viper, that one was a great play too! Forced fumble by a Rams blitz, ball sliding and spinning closer to Seattle's end zone and we recover!
Too bad we couldn't really capitalize on that but, again, as you mentioned, those are the things that confidence builds on.
In all sincerity I feel that yesterday ... more than Seattle winning, it was US that lost the game [still, I fully recognize the Seahawks' right and merit to be where they are, injuries and all]. But, as BigGameHoltMN rightly quoted elsewhere Dennis Green's ranting after the Cards lost to Chicago, we too, blew it.
The few fine moments mentioned here are legit; not sufficient, obviously, but they were efforts that can, and hopefully, will, encourage the team during this week's meetings.

Before even mentioning Turk you should take a look at Witherspoon and I believe Kay Jay Harris who ran down to cover the punt and watched Burleson not give a fair catch signal and take off. Witherspoon was right there and could have tackled him easily, but he just assumed Burleson was going to call for a fair catch and let him go.

Good point. There were a few players who really goofed up on that play. :x

Re: Few forgotten things
Geat post RF16! The "stare" was absolutely classic and I am glad somebody else posted about this. Tough game for the most part but I think appreciating some of the positive points are needed as well.

Re: Few forgotten things
You know what play was great?
That play when...
When the Rams...
Or that one...
Nope. Can't do it. Still in too much of a funk.
Maybe in a few days I'll be my old positive, upbeat, optimistic self.
Not today though.

That's okay, AV. That's okayyyy.
fftopic: Innocent question: what would have happened if the officials had determined that Coach Linehan's red flag (on Curtis' 3rd down catch) came in after the FG had been put into play?

They would say why are you challenging your own FG make, lol.
It would have been a new play and not challengeable.

Good one, RB!
Interesting, the officials would have [almost / practically] avoided us losing the game? Tied at 24 at end of regulation? Or wait -- I lost track of the points sequence. I need to go back on the scoreboard.
