Final Thoughts on Marshall Faulk

Final Thoughts on Marshall Faulk

Marshall Faulk missed the mandatory team mini camp over the weekend, stating that his knees had not recovered from off season surgery. What has Marshall decided to do with his future? What will the Rams do at backup running back?

As the Rams concluded their minicamp Sunday, coach Scott Linehan said
there is no timetable for a decision regarding the future of running back Marshall
Faulk.
"The sooner the better," Linehan said. "Hopefully, we will address that as
soon as I can."
Linehan made those remarks when it was noted that solid depth appears to
be on the roster. Asked what he would still like to see added in time for
training camp, Linehan first said, "A veteran blocking tight end, although it's
unfair to the current guys because it's hard to evaluate that when you're not in
pads. Maybe that guy is on the roster."
He then mentioned running back because of Faulk's situation, while noting
that "we haven't crossed that bridge yet."
Tony Fisher is currently the backup to Steven Jackson. Recently, former
Vikings running back Moe Williams visited Rams Park, and would be a likely
addition if Faulk decides not to play. Coaches also like what they've seen from
undrafted free agent Antoine Bagwell.
