I have seen the "wimpy" rule called against us in a 9er game (I believe). The officials actually ruled the contact was allowed because the player did not signal above his head. Result of the play? TO in favor of the 9ers. I commented on this in the chat room. I doubt seriously the officials would have ruled it a fair catch had the RAMS returner made such a futile attempt at a fair catch signal. Based solely on they way they have ruled in the past.

Very wimpy fare catch signal. Almost like he tryed to time it to see if he had any room to run until it was probably too late. Hargrove looked lost out there yesterday. Maybe Hedgecock woke him up.
