Finances aside, I really want Bruce back

Putting aside the heated debate over how much Bruce should be paid, I want to make one thing clear: I really do hope the Rams work things out with Bruce so he can return and retire as a Ram.

Its more than mere sentiment. I think Bruce does have a couple of very good years left in him. While he may not have the speed he once did, his precision makes him a perfect possession receiver. He also is a veteran leader and mentor to younger players.

Its easy to get caught up in the economics of the situation, but in the end, that's for the team, Bruce and his agent to worry about.

I hope things work out and we can watch #80 for another year.

I'd like him back but he's being unreasonable.

He had 500 yards last season, and we're giving him a 9mil contract, that's more than reasonable.

Maybe if he gets 1300yds in 6 consecutive seasons he can ask for more.

Wow, I wouldn't want you running my football team, seems pretty harsh.

I"m not worried about it. It was going to happen sooner or later. Time to move on.

The more I think about the Bruce thing, the more I don't want him back. He ain't worth 3 mil a year. He's done. It's time for new blood. Survey says, too old, too easily banged up, and we got great guys to take his spot.

I hope they just let him go to another team, where he can make millions more, and then ride out into the sunset. That would be the best thing for him, and the Rams.

Yeah, let him go and make his millions elsewhere.

I really don't see how this is true. Turf toe isn't an age injury, anyone can get it. Before last season he missed 1 game since 1999.

How do you figure? If he signed he would retire as a Ram. As it stands right now there is a good possibility he won't retire a Ram, and no I don't like those 1 day contracts to retire with your original team.

    oh hum.

I dont give a toss how much it takes. I want Bruce to return and finish as a RAM.

I also think some people need to remember one thing that I value over everything else.

    Loyalty.

And I am talking fan loyalty.

Its one thing that we as fans can contol. We can not control the money, so why whine about it. We CAN control our loyalty.

And one small thing. A point for our younger members.

Never disgard loyalty lightly, because when you get disgarded, you will be the first one moaning about it.

    Have a nice day

Some loyalty, you offer a guy $9 million and he turns around and looks for another team.
I'm not mad because we're spending money, I'm mad because he won't take it.

I gotta agree with Milan boss. Loyality is a two way street. There has to be something of fidelity to be loyal too.

And, I think that I'm being loyal to the team, and I think its in the team's best interests to let him go.

If our WR corps was a weak as our DB core, then I'd say keep him for sure because he does have some good years left in him. But we probably have the best corps of WRs out there. So why not let him go, and use the dough, to fix a woe?
